Hands-On Science Experiments
Yes, there will be fizzing, rolling, colour changes, and at least one moment when everyone says ‘Whoa’. But I promise I have not invited you here just to watch something dramatic happen in a cup.

Before every experiment, I ask the group to make a bet with their brains: what will happen, and why? We choose what to change, what to measure, and what must stay the same. That turns a fun activity into a fair test.
I demonstrate each setup with ordinary, safe materials, then students become the investigators. We record what we actually see—even when it is messy or unexpected. Especially when it is unexpected. A strange result is often the most interesting person in the room.
Afterwards, I ask each learner to explain the result without hiding behind a difficult word. Once the idea is clear, we add the precise scientific language and draw the invisible model underneath what we observed.
You will leave with a small collection of investigations, but the habit matters more: question, predict, test, record, explain. Once students own that rhythm, the kitchen, garden, and school laboratory all start offering better questions.
